Understanding AI: A Forum for Local & Tribal Governments
Set Up AI Account for Interactive Sessions
During interactive portions of the AI Forum, participants will use an AI provider (such as ChatGPT, Microsoft CoPilot, or Google Gemini). If you already have an account, no further action is needed. If you don’t have an AI provider, please open an account ahead of the AI Forum.
Note: if you already use Microsoft Outlook 365 for work email, you should have an icon on the right side of the Outlook mail screen providing access to Microsoft CoPilot.
How to set up ChatGPT
- Go to the ChatGPT Website and click “Sign Up”
- Sign up using your email address, Google account, Microsoft account, or AppleID.
- Verify your email. If you sign up with an email, you’ll receive a verification email. Click the link in that email to verify your address.
- Enter your name and phone number. You’ll be asked to provide your name and a valid phone number for verification. OpenAI will send a code via SMS to confirm your number.
- Enter the verification code received via SMS to complete the verification process.
- Start using ChatGPT. Once verified, you’ll be taken to the ChatGPT interface where you can start chatting right away.
