UW–Madison Extension supports learning and education by connecting campus to communities, and we don’t do it alone! With support from federal, state, local, and Tribal governments along with dedicated grants we invest in place-based educators all across Wisconsin. For more than a century, Extension has partnered with communities to address real‑world challenges and opportunities. Today, we reach over 520,000 participants annually, empower 26,000 youth through 4‑H, and engage 9,900 volunteers who contribute more than 422,000 hours of service. Together, we strengthen agriculture, foster civic and economic leadership, promote health and well‑being, support families, protect natural resources, and create spaces for positive youth development.
