EXPAND is a professional development opportunity with several levels of training, from self-paced, asynchronous trainings, to virtual training with colleagues from other states, and our elite signature EXPAND program, which blends virtual training with a multi-day face-to-face experience to enhance relationship building and engagement.

The asynchronous trainings provide participants the opportunity to learn at their own pace, while applying active, applied learning techniques, with topics that relate to Extension Programming. Additionally, our virtual and signature EXPAND programs also include a third element. They provide the opportunity to network with Extension colleagues from different states across the country.

This professional development opportunity acknowledges that Extension professionals desire to enhance their skills to improve the work they are currently doing while contributing their wealth of experience and knowledge that will enhance learning across the board. Participants will not only learn new skills and techniques but will also incorporate their lived experiences and challenges into the conversation. This adds value to the personal connection for those who engage in the cohort sessions.
